The "Adopt-a-Windmill" program is a project of
the Pennsylvania Wind Campaign. Our goal is to buy 1.5 MW of wind energy
- equivalent to the output of one large-scale turbine - through individual
purchases of blocks of power. To reach our goal, we must purchase 40,000
blocks of wind energy.
New
Wind Energy registers purchases through our "Adopt-a-Windmill"
program. For each block you purchase, 100 kWh of renewable wind energy
will be delivered into the PJM electric grid on your behalf. Your electricity
will continue uninterrupted. All environmental benefits associated with
your purchase belong to you, and you will receive a certificate with
the attribute information.
Two blocks (the minimum individual purchase) cost $5.00
monthly. The blocks will be charged to your credit card on a monthly
basis for one year. If you prefer to pay through cash or check,

us to make arrangements. Purchases can be cancelled at any time.
Each new customer will receive a welcome kit including a letter and
home energy information and a certificate at the end of the calendar
year. The purchase of wind blocks is added to the customer's normal
energy bill.
