Green-e and the Power Scorecard are the nation's only certification programs for renewable electricity products.
These programs help electricity consumers differentiate between different electricity products.
|
Green-e certified
electricity products must undergo an annual audit to verify that
they meet Green-e standards.
Marketers' electricity products that meet or exceed these requirements
will be awarded with the Green-e logo. Consumers can look for the
logo when shopping for cleaner electricity products and know that
the claims of that supplier have been verified by a third party.

The PowerScorecard
grades the environmental impacts of the fuels and technologies used
to produce the electricity that people buy. The electricity products
are scored based on the permanent impacts on air, land, and water
on a relative scale. |
